CoRe Ends SCO3 Season With A Podium Result!

The final round of third season of the Sports Car Open series in iRacing was held at Silverstone for an eight hours race. CoRe SimRacing did compete with their two entries to finish the season and to achieve valuable points for the overall standings. The CoRe GT entry was filled with Janne Kiuru, Sindre Setsaas and Samuel Libeert while the CoRe HPD in the P2 class had Pascal Stix, Sven Neumann and Maxime Pauly behind the wheel.

The CoRe P2 entry started the race from 3rd behind SIMMSA and RevMatch in the HPD. Pascal was able to keep the position for his first stints while Sindre, who was starting the race in 8th in class, could advance to 6th after the green flag. Sindre had to fight against the traffic and also suffered a slow down penalty early on. Janne and Samuel, which were taking over the car afterwards, were able to get up to the Top 5. An incident in the last hours of the race caused optional repairs unfortunately. Time was lost as a result of this and the CoRe GT entry came home in 7th which secured the team a 4th position in the overall standings. The CoRe HPD squad, which was supported by Maxime with a great stint as well with Sven, finished the race in P3. The overall ranking in the P2 class for CoRe is the 3rd position. Therefor both CoRe SimRacing are able to keep their line-ups for the next SCO season. The broadcast of this race can be found here.
