DNLS 2020 Round 3 Review

CoRe GT4 Team Wins DNLS Round 3!

The digital Nürburgring Langstrecken Series, powered by raceunion and the Virtual Competition Organisation, was up for its’ third round. CoRe SimRacing competed with their two Cup 3 entries and a TCR car, again. Carl Jansson, Baptiste Boudelier, Sindre Setsaas, Samuel Libeert, Marius Golombeck, Patrick Kubinji and also Thomas Gibson were the drivers for the CoRe SimRacing cars.

Carl qualified his entry of the CoRe GT4 teams on pole position while Sindre started the race in 3rd. Team Heusinkveld’s GT4 team started in 2nd and seperated both CoRe cars. Marius, who did the hotlap for the TCR team, started the race in the TCR midpacks. The start went off fairly clean and Sindre and Carl were able to take over an early double lead for the first part of the race. While the TCR squad fought up their way to the lead, Carl clipped the grass in the Galgenkopf section at the very end of the race. Due to the damage, Baptiste and Carl fell down to P9. Samuel and Sindre finished the race as winners while Patrick, Thomas and Marius ended their TCR race on the podium, securing a very solid 2nd position. The broadcast of this race can be found here.
